Mortgage Insurance - What You Need To Know

Having enough life insurance to not only cover the loss of income, but also your family’s other debts (such as house, car, credit cards, etc.) is a wise move. Even though it may feel like a struggle at the time if you have to scrape the funds together to cover the premium.

In the event the unthinkable happen, the house (and perhaps other debts) would be paid for and your family would have one less burden to worry about. Or, if you have Mortgage Life Insurance that is triggered by your disability or being unable to work (or disability insurance), then your family is covered if something should happen.

mortgage insurance coverage actually is such a good idea that many mortgage companies, in fact most of them, insist on it. That is wise on the part of the mortgage company because it provides them with additional security, and makes it easier for them to justify loaning you the money for your mortgage. From a business standpoint it really just makes sense both for you and for them. However, you are not required to purchase the life or disability insurance from the mortgage company, and you can usually get more coverage for less per month with a term policy through another company.

Take, for example, the case of Marie Jones. Marie and her husband Stan worked hard to get a down payment together to buy a home. They had three children and they both decided that Marie should stay home with the kids and quit her job. Stan had a good job and a nice paycheck so it wasn’t a burden.

A few years later, Stan was tragically killed in an auto crash, leaving Marie alone to provide for her children without an income.

Thankfully Stan had adequate life insurance to cover both the loss of income and the other debts. Marie received a check from the life insurance company large enough to support her and the kids until they were grown, and enough money to pay off the mortgage on the home. Marie and the kids no longer had to worry about how they would meet the house payment. The insurance covered it all.

Marie’s case is, unfortunately, all too common. Every year in America thousands of people depend on Mortgage Life Insurance when an unexpected tragedy occurs. Mortgage Life Insurance (or additional life insurance to cover the mortgage) can seem like a burden to those who opt for it, until they think about the amount of protection it provides. Having mortgage insurance, for many families, has made all of the difference in security, in having a roof over their heads, and in knowing that their futures were secure.

Make Believe : Are Your Children Really Learning Through This Activity?

Every small child loves to play. Playing pretend, or “role playing games“, can not only be educational, but also one of the cheapest games a child can play. Creative play such as role playing can not only teach your child about the world, but can also teach you a lot about your child.

What Are the Benefits of Role Playing With Your Child?

- Playing with your child allows you to gain insight into how your child thinks and feels. It’s difficult for us adults to understand the toddler world. How can we guide a child effectively when we can’t see things from their perspective? When we truly understand how they think, then our parenting can become more personal and powerful. Sometimes it will amaze you how they see the world. As adults we often assume that our children understand how things work or why something happens a certain way and it isn’t until you dig into an area that you find out what they are really thinking. Imaginative play is ideal for this because it is non confrontational and allows ideas to surface ‘naturally’.

- Pretending gives children opportunities for mental growth. Children can experiment and explore new ideas and new ways of thinking without pressure, and without the possible failures that accompany “the real world”.

- Pretending builds problem-solving skills. While role playing, they are put into situations that require them to make choices and decisions.

- role playing can encourage self expression, and helps them cope with their feelings. It is not the adults that determine what goes on during play but the children. They are the directors and script writers. If you’re your child is going through a stressful situation, role playing gives them a way to escape and be someone else for a while.

- make believe definitely fosters their imagination.

You and your children can come up with many more fun ideas for creative play. If there is a certain issue you would like to tackle (such as Mommy and Daddy’s upcoming split, stranger danger, the new baby arriving soon, the passing of a pet, etc.), why not use this method? It won’t sound like a lecture and you may learn something about your child, plus you will be able to give them an outlet for their confusion, excitement, or pain. Above all, they will treasure the time you spend with them, making the experience most invaluable.

Disney Cruise Vacation : All You Need To Know

Cruises are becoming more and more popular with families. However, some parents are opting out of cruises for more “traditional” family vacations because of fears that there may not be enough appropriate entertainment or other children on board. Of course, not all cruises are family-friendly, but many cruise lines are now offering cruises especially for families.

What To Do

There are many cruises that are designed specifically with families in mind. Here are just some of the things that you might find to do on these family-friendly cruises.

• Cruises that are designed for the family (or at least ones that will accommodate children on board) will likely have a wide range of amenities and activities designed for these younger guests. Many will have lots of toys and games for children to use.

• When choosing a cruise line, make sure there are also many activities planned for children as well as the adults. Make sure the activities are based on the ages and interests of your children. Some of these activities may include things like painting and crafts, and may also include learning projects geared to the locations the ship will be visiting. Make sure that your children are going to have enough activities that will aid in their meeting others they will like. If you have found a good cruise line, most of these children and youth activities are done without parents, so that the parents will have ample time to do the things that they would like to do too. But make sure the children and youth are well-supervised.

If you want to be assured your children are well catered for, then it is worth exploring a Disney Cruise Line.

Cruises on the Disney Cruise Line range from three to 10 days in length. Some sail around Orlando while others head further out to places like Nassau, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Grand Cayman Island, Cozumel, and some Mediterranean ports of call.

Of course, the excursions are just as exciting and with so many options, you can choose the type of excursion based on the age of your children and their interests. The Disney Cruise Vacation also offers plenty of excitement for the older children with nighttime entertainment, all family-friendly.

The shows performed are much like you would see at Disney World and the food on board is delicious, with incredible diversity, but still enough for those picky eaters. Without doubt, Disney Cruise Vacation creates a wonderful family cruise that is worth every dime.

When you are planning a family vacation with your children, make sure to book a trip that is full of the activities that your kids love. With the Disney Cruise Lines, you are going to find a wide range of activities offered to them but enough to keep you busy as well.

Dog Training - Important Factors To Raising Your Pet

dog behavior training is very important for a number of reasons. You may think that training your dog to do tricks such as retrieving a toy or shaking hands may be a waste of time and a bother, but it would do you good to take a second look at training your dog beyond the basics of come, stay, and sit. Training offers far more than mere entertainment. Three benefits of continuing your dog’s education are socialization, safety, and bonding. Consider these closely when you think about training your dog.

Socializing your dog is simply the act of making him a pleasure to be around for people and other dogs alike. Who wants to be around a dog - especially a large one - who jumps on everyone with whom he comes in contact? If you have a dog that jumps, you may feel forced to resign him to the backyard when company visits, which may in turn make an annoying barker out of him as he feels left out of social gatherings. But if you treat the problem by training him not to jump, you will enable him to enjoy the company of others when they come for a visit. You will be able to do things with him like go to the park and walk in areas where there are other people and dogs.

A trained dog is a safer dog. One of a pet owner’s biggest fears is that their beloved animal will one day get away from during a walk and be hit by a car. Some very basic training can give you a safety net in just such a situation. For instance, imagine that your dog runs out the front door one morning and you lose track of him. When you find him, he is on the other side of a busy street, and his first impulse may be to bound happily toward you at first sight. But if he is well-trained, you can signal for him to sit and wait for you to come and leash him. Disaster averted.

Aside from those two very practical reasons to train your dog, however, there is a third benefit that busy people sometimes overlook. Time spent training your dog is time the two of you will spend together. If you’ve ever built a model with your kid or fixed a computer or baked a cake with a friend, you know that accomplishing a goal with a loved one can be a valuable bonding experience. Dogs are not immune to this. If you spend just a few minutes each day training your dog, it will give both of you a sense of accomplishment and bring you closer together.

Don’t leave out the party tricks either! As soon as the basics are mastered, there is no reason to stop the learning process. Keep going - see how far you and your dog can go!

Tips for Potty Training a Boxer Puppy

Potty training a boxer puppy is challenging because of their playful personalities. Since they grow up into big, strong dogs, it is important to train them early on while they are still small. Learning comes fairly quickly to these dogs because they are smart and understand cause and effect. Owners should have a set routine so that the dog knows what to expect, and take them outside often to housebreak them. Using a crate is a good idea so that the dog doesn’t have an accident in the house while you’re away. Use lots of praise and encouragement when they do go outside. Over time the dog will surely become your best friend!
