Create your own Tidings Of Joy

You may think of holiday cards as being Christmas or Seasons Greetings cards, but really there are many more holiday cards than this one holiday. There are holiday cards for Christmas, Hanukah, Easter (or Resurrection Day), Thanksgiving, Halloween, Columbus Day, President’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Independence Day, New Years, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparents Day, Administrative Assistants Day, and many more. As you can see, there are many holidays we celebrate, and each of them have their own holiday cards.

Do we ever send out enough Tidings of Joy? It seems that most of us only send out tidings and greetings to our friends and family on one major seasonal occasion a year. Why not try to share some tidings or greetings a little more often. This year you might just send out a greeting card related to a different holiday or occasion. For example you might spread the joy about how the season of Spring has made you feel more youthful. The purpose of sending good tidings is share your feelings and make those you care about feel good too.

Create your own tidings with some construction paper and glue, draw a picture, or use photos to share a moment in time. Personalize each greeting with a short comment or note of something special you remember about the person or place you have shared. In our ever increasing world of busy everyday life, it has become even more important to send Tidings of Joy to your loved ones.

The Best Pet Food Storage

Pet Food Storage Advice - My husband and I have two cats and two dogs. The dogs are hunting dogs and stay outside in a large kennel area. The cats are in the house full time. The dog kennel is attached to a small storage shed in the yard. The shed provides protection from the elements and also is a convenient spot for us to store the dog food. After we had been storing the dog food for about two months my husband noticed that he would find pieces of the food scattered in the shed.

After several days of this he discovered that a mouse had chewed a hole in the bottom of the bag. We decided that we were going to have to find pet food storage that would be mouse proof. Until we were able to go shopping my husband put a piece of duct tape over the hole. So we decided we needed proper Pet Food Storage.

They are an excellent way to make sure that your pet food stays fresh from beginning to end. They will help you save money by buying the bigger bags of food and being able to keep the food fresh in a pet food storage bin. There is a wide variety of storage bins, such as soft pet food storage products and automatic pet food dispensers with storage capability. You can use these pet food storage containers for both dog and cat food.

You can purchase designs that are stylish enough to store your pet food out in the open. Some storage containers even have extra storage on top so that you can store treats or your pets leash. If you prefer to store your pets food outside, but don’t want to ruin the landscape, you can even purchase pet food storage containers shaped like rocks. They can store up to 13 gallons and 40 pounds of dog food or bird seed and can protect it from the weather and pests.

There are some that you can mount on your wall and out of the way. They generally have a pour chute at the bottom of the bin that will make it easier for you to pour the food into your pets bowl. Another option that is easier on the eyes is a wooden Pet Food Storage bin with a hinged lid. You can purchase them in pine with your choice of finish.

Parenting A Child - What’s Normal And What’s Not?

There is no standard blueprint available on child parenting. Well, not that I could find anyway. The closest blueprints you could find are those related to the individual parenting styles i.e… authoritative, authoritarian, christian etc.

When I say blueprints I am reasonably sure there are no documents written locked away in a vault somewhere which outline the do’s and don’ts of parenting a child.

Learning From Your Parents

It’s natural for couples to raise their children the way they were raised by their parents. Is this a good thing? I’m not sure. It certainly would not be if they endured a tough upbringing or an abusive one.

Those of us who remember the perfect family images portrayed during those TV family sitcoms of the 1960’s would suggest this is the perfect way to parent a child but in the harsh world of reality, in most cases, this is just not so.

One of the aspects of parenting a child for first time parents that always is good advice is to grow with your baby. Resist the preconceived notions of what you have to do and what needs to be done.

Just because someone else does it this way doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best way. Your child will be depending on you and the simple truth is, parenting a child in the early stages has a lot to do with letting the child tell you when it needs to be attended to. You just need to add your own personal touch to the parenting game.

Useful Resources

Understanding what is normal can literally drive you mad. Normal can mean a lot of different things in different households. There are lots of good books on child development, and there’s a ton of information on the web. When you know something is normal, it’s easier to deal with. In the first place, you know it won’t last forever.

Understanding normal also keeps you from having unrealistic expectations in parenting a child. It’s not likely that your one-year old boy will potty-train because he isn’t physically ready for it. So you don’t expect it from him, and you don’t get upset when he wets his diaper. And you can tell interfering relatives and friends that he’s not ready, and when he is, you’ll potty train him.

It’s one of life’s pleasures… child parenting but it’s also one of life’s biggest challenges. Get it right and it’s one of the most rewarding experiences you’ll ever have.

Pet Beds For That Extra Large Dog

I had never thought of buying a pet bed before. Those are only for some lady’s pampered poodle that was either laying on pink cushion or being carried around in the grocery store. So putting my masculinity aside I went shopping for a pet bed for my dog. Because he was a big dog and weighed over a hundred ponds I had to find something that had a good cushion and was large enough for him to stretch out. I started my shopping at the local pet store and from there went to the larger chains. I couldn’t find exactly what I needed there so I the went to the computer and typed in a search for pet beds. There were hundreds of beds to choose from in different sizes, colors, densities, and fabrics. And if my dog had been a total outside dog I could have even got a bed with a heater. Can you believe that, I would have got my dog a heated bed.

I soon found what I was looking for and had it delivered to the house in about 10 days. Now since fido had never seen a pet bed before it took a little work convincing him what it was for but eventually he got the picture and now loves it.

And the best part for both of us is that in the morning he is no longer as stiff and sore and our morning walks are with a little more speed and enthusiasm. I wish I had done this for him a long time ago.

Loving Devoted Husband and Caring Father

Being a loving and devoted husband is not easy these days because of all the distraction we face in this rat race we call life. We choose to occupy our time, interest and desires with what the world shows us on television, things we see in a stores or what the other person has that we want.

These are all lies to deceive us. They will rob us of being a loving and devoted husband to our wives and a caring father to our children. Our focus has been set off course and it’s in the wrong place.

I am here to tell you that it can be easy and God’s Word is our guide to help us. If I am out of a love relationship with my wife, God holds me responsible because I am the spiritual leader and bring peace to the family. Our focus needs to be on God first and by having a good relationship with Him and His Son Jesus.

Loving and being devoted to your wife is easy. The hard part is fighting off the temptation this world puts before us. Draw close to God and trust Him to help you overcome all the temptations that keep you from being a loving devoted husband and caring father.

Pet Health Problems - Who Do I Ask?

These days, more and more dog owners have holistic pet health questions. It is natural to be concerned about your pet’s health. In fact, the first thing you should do when thinking of getting a new pet in the family is to ask around for recommendations to a good veterinarian who can answer your dog health questions whenever required.

It is essential that you find somebody who is comfortable discussing your pet health care questions with you and does not simply talk at you, because they will have to rely on your information to decide on what your dog might require in times of need. So you should ask other dog owners in your area for a recommendation to a veterinarian who will really listen.

Living with your dog, you are the one who gets to know his or her usual self and you are the one who will notice any changes as they occur. Quite often, you as the owner will be able to add additional input and confirm details that will help your veterinarian make a diagnosis. Sometimes you may not be able to formulate your pet health care questions very clearly and that is when a good listening veterinarian is most important.

You may want to discuss your holistic pet health questions with a friend before going to the veterinarian, or look online for information about what might be wrong. This is fine as a first step, but remember that your friends are probably not qualified in dog health issues, and nobody online can see your dog or test him or her for anything. Just as there is no substitute for seeing a doctor if you are sick, there is no substitute for a qualified animal health professional if your dog is sick.

If you are unsatisfied with the answers you get from your veterinarian do not be afraid to question his or her decisions because the life of your pet could depend on your perseverance with your pet health care questions. You have a right to ask for a second opinion just as you would with a doctor. Remember your pet is a full part of your family and you should not be hesitant in getting everything straightened out.
