Family Concerns

When I get home, I always immediately took out my wallet, my keys, my cell phone, and its phone case then set them down by the front door so I don’t forget them the following day . They usually stay there until the morning, but sometimes I take them with me if I am going out to the bar or with some friends to do something . My mother hates that I do this. She thinks one of my friends is going to steal my wallet or my phone or whatever. For some reason my mom has little trust in human kind . I tell her that they are my friends, I wouldn’t be friends with them if I thought that they were thieves . A few months ago, my car was in the shop and I borrowed hers. Then a week ago, she called me and accused me of letting one of my friends steal an envelope full of valuable stamps from her car since she couldn’t find it. First of all I had no clue that she even had that envelope in her car and second of all I hadn’t given any of my friends a ride in her car because I know how anal she is about everything . She wouldn’t let the issue stand, she thought she knew for sure one of my friends stole it, she insulted me by not believing what I was telling her . But I told her that if I didn’t even know it was there how would one of my friends who had never even been in the car? She was just jumping to conclusions.
