Some people take it a little bit too far and get an online birthday gift for friends. I have always thought this was a little tacky. You should take the time to give birthday gifts yourself. An online birthday card can suffice in the meantime, but eventually you should give birthday gifts in person if possible. Nonetheless, online birthday cards will show you care even if you don’t have the time to show up personally. You would be amazed how much of a difference they can make.
